911 Service Disrupted for Brightspeed Landline Users in Princeton

Smithfield, N.C. - Johnston County residents with Brightspeed landline service in the Princeton area may not be able to reach 911 due to a service issue. Brightspeed is actively working to resolve the issue but has not provided a timeline for restoration. Approximately 143 Brightspeed customers are impacted. Residents in and around the Princeton area are strongly encouraged to use a cell phone to contact 911 if needed. This is not a Johnston County 911 equipment issue.
