Services Provided or Description:  Safe Kids Johnston County endeavors to reduce death and injury to children aged 0 - 14 years through prevention, intervention, and education. Some programs include:

  • Child passenger safety
  • Pedestrian safety
  • Water safety
  • Fire prevention
  • Poison prevention
  • Firearm safety

Hours:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Car seats are by appointment only.

Ages Served:  Children from birth to age 12.

Eligibility:  Assistance is available to families in Johnston County.

Referral Process:  By agency or on a walk-in basis.

Billing Arrangements:  Can be made for car seats.

Other Information:  The Buckle-Up program provides free child passenger safety education. Car seats are available to families who need them for a minimal cost.
