Johnston County GIS is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the eGovernance Award of Distinction.

This is an award that recognizes the best practices and innovation in county-level eGovernance initiatives. As a county with a population of 121,965, we competed with several other similar counties containing populations between 100,000 - 249,000 and were the only applicant to receive this award designation. The applicants were scored on seven criteria addressing customer-centric interactions; seamless service-delivery; leveraged partnerships; participation of multiple government sectors; innovative use of technology for service delivery, ease of replication; and privacy and security.
