2014 Real Property Valuation Appeals
Appeals of real property market values are heard in April of each year by the Johnston County Board of Equalization and Review. Click HERE to obtain a real property appeal form. The completed form and supporting documentation must be received by our office before May 1, 2014.
2014 Tax Listings
Property Tax Listing Forms were mailed on December 30, 2013. North Carolina General Statutes require all property owners to list their property for the purpose of taxation in January of each year. Failure to do so will result in a 10% late listing penalty applied against personal property listed after January 31st. Click on the link (above) for additional information.
New Tag & Tax Together Program
Beginning September 2013 renewals, North Carolina drivers will start seeing combined bills for their vehicle’s property taxes and registration renewals. Town of Clayton Adopts Special Assessment for Sewer Improvement Project
On August 5, 2013, the Clayton Town Council approved a special assessment for the John Street Sewer Improvement Project. This assessment involves 16 properties located at 608 - 722 John Street. Click here for additional information.
