The Johnston County Veterans Service Office opened an Outreach Program that started Monday, October 6, 2008.

The Outreach Program will have available all services which you would expect to find at the Johnston County Veterans Office in Smithfield.

This program will be held at four locations in the county from 9:00am – 12:00 noon each month on Mondays on a continuing basis. 

County Veterans Service Officer, Mr. Ricky Byrd will be on site at the various Outreach Program locations below.

The first Monday - Clayton American Legion Post 71

The second Monday - Benson American Legion Post 109

The third Monday - Princeton Community Building

The fourth Monday -  Kenly Town Hall. 

The purpose of the Outreach Program is to reach those veterans, widows or other family members that may have difficulty traveling to Smithfield because they live so far away.
