2010 Telecommunicator of the Year

     This years Telecommunicator of the year award goes to an individual who exhibits all of the qualities of what an outstanding Telecommunicator would posses such as kindness, caring, compassion, and steadfast performance in the 911 Center. This individual projects a very warm attitude of helpfulness as well as empathy towards each caller in their desperate time of need, always careful to treat each caller as if they were a member of their own family and taking any and all measures to ensure the protection of life and property as the foremost objective. This years Telecommunicator of the Year is also one of very high integrity and high moral standards. This recipient is well regarded by fellow colleagues as very loyal, dedicated, and hard working. The recipient is always among the first to volunteer to assist with any challenges, training opportunities as well as assisting others with difficult calls in the 911 Center, always portraying a remarkable sense of patience, understanding, and customer service. This individual is truly dedicated to the profession of 911 Communications and has worked in Public Safety in Johnston County for many years both as a volunteer EMT, Firefighter and nearly five years in the 911 Center as a professional Telecommunicator.

       Without ignoring the fine qualities of all the other candidates, it is with great pleasure and admiration that we present the award for the 2010 Telecommunicator of the Year to Mr. Chad Strickland, Team Leader for Johnston County E 9-1-1 Communications for his outstanding contributions and faithful diligence to the citizens of Johnston County.
