Payments can be made online between 6:00 a.m. and midnight, Monday through Saturday, and 6:00 a.m. until noon on Sundays.
Welcome to Johnston County Public Utilities online payments. To better serve you, we have installed a new online payment service. This service is operated through our Munis software. Please read the instructions below before using the service.
To access your account, you will need to have your bill to enter the customer number or the exact format of your name as it appears on your bill.
Bills are listed separately and payment of all bills is required to keep your account up to date. You can pay for more than one bill at one time. Any utility account with a past due bill is subject to be disconnected.
If your account is has been disconnected, DO NOT use the online payment option. In this case, you will need to contact the Public Utilities department directly at email@example.com or 919-989-5075 to arrange for proper credit to your account.
Note: If your name does not appear on the online payment, this means that you either have a credit on your account or you have a zero balance. To send Public Utilities money in this case, you will need to use the Pre-Pay Your Utilities Account online payment service.
Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Pay Your Water Bill with the Munis Online Payment System:
Click on the link to Pay the exact amount of an existing utility bill. The online Munis payment panel appears.
Click the "Utility Bills" link on the left-hand side of the page. The Account Inquiry Page appears.
Type the name on the bill EXACTLY as it appears on the bill (or enter your customer number as it appears on the bill). You must match case, punctuation and spacing. Click to continue. The list of your accounts appears.
Click on the account you want to pay. The Utility Account Detail information panel appears.
If there is balance due on any of your bills, a View/Pay Bill(s) button will be present on the screen. Click the View/Pay Bill(s) button to pay your bill.
The list of your bills will appear. If you have more than one bill due, they will be listed here. You must pay all bills due. If a bill is overlooked, then your water could get disconnected. Please make sure that all bills listed show a zero balance.
Note: To view consumption history on your account, click the code number in the far left hand column of the table showing the list of bills.
To view the details of a bill, click on the bill number for the bill you want to pay. The detail for this bill will appear. To pay your bill(s), click the "Pay Outstanding Bills" button. The Summary of Bills to be Paid panel appears.
Enter the amount of each bill you would like to pay in the Amount to Pay field. Note that this amount cannot be greater than the amount due. If you want pre-pay your bill, use the Pre-Pay your Utility Account utility available on the Send Payments to Public Utilities page. Click the Continue button to continue.
Enter the billing information. This information must match exactly what is on your credit card or banking statement.
Click the "Pay Bill(s)" button at the bottom of the screen. Click "OK" to the pop-up window asking if the information is correct. This will submit your payment. Note: A small transaction processing fee will be added to your total at the time of final payment..
