Johnston County Animal Services - Post a Lost or Found Animal
Found pet: This is a lost and found forum to help reunite lost animals with their owners. If you have found a pet, in no way does filing a found report or completing any other form on this website constitute satisfaction of the NC GS 19A-32.1 requirement of a minimum 72-hour holding period for stray animals. The 72-hour holding period can only be done by a North Carolina licensed animal shelter, such as Johnston County Animal Services. For more information, please contact the shelter at 919-934-8474.
Lost pet: While this is a great tool to get the word out about your missing animal, you should always come to the shelter in person between 8 am to noon and 1 pm to 5 pm Monday through Friday to check if your pet is located at the shelter. We cannot identify your pet over the phone, and will direct you to come do a personal walk through.
