Johnston County Public Health First Dose and Second Dose Vaccination Appointments and Walk-Ins Week of May 3rd – May 6th
Smithfield, NC – The Johnston County Public Health Department has scheduled the following first and second dose clinics:
May 3rd 9:00am – 4pm Johnston County Public Health Department
May 4th 9:00am – 6pm Johnston County Public Health Department
May 5th 9:00am – 4pm Johnston County Public Health Department
May 5th 9:00am – 11am Selma Public Library (PFIZER vaccine only)
May 6th 9:00am – 4pm Johnston County Public Health Department
The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge to all individuals, regardless of immigration or health insurance status.
The Health Department will offer the following brands of vaccine: Moderna (age 18+), Pfizer vaccine (age 16 +) and Johnson & Johnson (age 18+). Individuals under the age of 18 need an adult present to receive the vaccine. Patients will need a second dose after the first dose (21 days for Pfizer and 28 days for Moderna). Johnson and Johnson is a single dose vaccine.
Vaccinations will be administered on an appointment (takemyshot.nc.gov) or walk-in basis while supplies last.
Those seeking the vaccination should be aware that it is not recommended for those who have had another vaccine within the previous 14 days. In addition, individuals who have an active COVID-19 infection (under isolation) or recent exposure to an individual with COVID-19 should defer receiving the vaccination until recovered or removed from quarantine.
