Johnston County Board of Commissioners Set to Enhance Livestream of Meetings on YouTube and Improve Production Quality

Smithfield, NC – The livestream of the Johnston County Board of Commissioners meetings will have a new home and a new look starting Monday, August 2, 2021. The public can find the Board of Commissioners meetings on Johnston County's YouTube Channel. You can also go to YouTube and search, "Johnston County Government" to access the channel.

The Commissioners meetings, which are held three times a month, will be available to stream on your smart TV, tablet or phone through the County's Youtube channel and free for anyone to watch live or on demand.

The new livestream will utilize a multi-camera production providing a better viewing experience for the public, graphics showing speaker's names and agenda items and a document camera for the public to follow along with presentations and powerpoints.

After a year and four months, the Board of Commissioners will return to their regular meeting room in the Johnston County Courthouse annex with limited seating available to the public due to the capacity of the meeting room and ongoing COVID-19 precautions. There will be additional seating available, just outside the meeting room, with a live video feed of the Board meeting.

After meetings conclude, they will be chronologically archived on the County's YouTube channel. This will allow the public to navigate and find specific meetings quicker and more efficiently.
