Firework Safety- For Pets

1. Keep Pets Indoors

- Make sure they've had exercise during the day and a chance to do their business

2. Drown Out The Noise

- Turn on the radio or TV with comforting music to calm their nerves

3. Stay Calm

- Don't punish your pet for being scared. Stay calm and they will learn to do the same.

4. Update Tags & ID's

- Make sure your pets are wearing up-to-date tags and ID's in case they run away or get lost.

5. Give Pets a Safe Place to Hide

- Set up a comfortable room or crate in your house just for them. Keep the blinds and curtains closed. Give them a favorite toy, blanket, etc. to help keep them calm.

Between July 4th & July 6th, the number of LOST PETS increases 30%. ON AVERAGE 14% of runaway pets are returned to their owners.
