Halloween Safety | Trick-or-TreatingHalloween Safety | Trick-or-Treating

Trick-or-treating is fun, but it is important to do so safely. Follow these tips to help your kids have a safe and fun time as they collect their trove of candy.

1. Avoid skin and eye injuries by AVOIDING decorative contact lenses, TESTING make-up before use, and REMOVING make-up before bed.

2. Pedestrians should ALWAYS walk on sidewalks. If there are none, walk as far to the side of the road as possible, facing on-coming traffic.

3. USE CAUTION when crossing roads. Use crosswalks and follow traffic signals if available. Look both ways before crossing.

4. Wear LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING, or wear some sort of REFLECTIVE TAPE OR MATERIAL if you are wearing a darker costume. Also BRING A FLASHLIGHT with you.
