Thanksgiving 2021

Thanksgiving Safety Tips

  • NEVER leave cooking food unattended. Make sure that children are kept away from the stove and hot/cooking food and liquids.
  • Make sure that your food is FULLY COOKED before you eat. USDA recommends the internal temperature of turkey be 165 degrees F.
  • Leftovers that are not used after 3-4 days should be thrown away.
  • DO NOT douse a grease fire with water. The best thing to do is cover the flaming pan with a lid and turn off the burner.
  • If you choose to drink, do so RESPONSIBLY. Practice good judgment, and if you plan on driving at all, it is best NOT to consume alcohol.
  • The number of heart attacks spikes during the holiday season. If you experience a medical emergency of any kind, CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY.
