-Fryers Can Tip Over Easily

Place your fryers on a sturdy, level surface and do not move it while it is in use. Keep it 10 feet away from your home and NOT under a roof.

-Do Not Overfill Your Pot

Oil will be displaced when you put the turkey into the pot. If there is too much oil, it can spill over and cause fire or injury.

-Fully Thaw Your Turkey

Partially frozen turkey can cause oil to splatter when placed in the pot. To avoid injury, make sure the turkey is fully thawed.

-Don't Let Your Oil Get Too Hot

Use a thermometer and monitor the oil in your fryer. If oil overheats it can cause a fire.

-Keep Children and Pets Away

Kids and pets should be at least 3 feet away.

-Always Use Protective Gear

To minimize the risk of injury make sure to wear protective oven mitts and have a fire extinguisher handy.
