Created by General Statute 122C-117, 118, 119.

The function of the Board is to make policies and recommendations governing the administration and operation of the Area Mental Health Clinic.

The Board consists of 11 members plus 1 County Commissioner representing the medical and clinical professions, a family member or individuals from citizens organizations representing interest of those with mental illness, recovery from addiction, and developmental disabilities. The Board meets on the 4th Tuesday, Monthly, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mental Health Center. For further information, contact Dr. Janis Nutt at 989-5500.
