The Apparatus and Future Needs Subcommittee of the Johnston County Fire Protection Service District Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the Johnston County Public Safety Center training room located at 2875 US Highway 70 Bus. E. Smithfield, NC.

Proposed Dissolution of Whitley Heights Sanitary District G.S. § 130A-85
The Johnston County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing, to be held in the Commissioners’ meeting room, Johnston County Courthouse Annex, Smithfield, N.C., on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible for the purpose of receiving public comment on proposed dissolution of Whitley Heights Sanitary District. All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views during this public hearing. Citizens who would like to address the Board regarding this hearing but have concerns with physically attending the meeting, may email those comments to Clerk to the Board Dana Cuddington at dana.cuddington@johnstonnc.gov.
