Smithfield, NC – The Johnston County Health Department is currently offering a first and second dose Pfizer drive-thru clinic today (April 16, 2021) until 3PM or while supplies last at Johnston Community College located at 245 College Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577.

The Health Department will be administering the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine (16 years of age and up) as well as second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.  Individuals under the age of 18 need an adult present to receive the vaccine.  Patients will need a second dose between 21 and 42 days after the first dose.

Individuals seeking a second dose should have received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on or before March 26, 2021.  The initial dose did not have to be administered by the Health Department.  Individuals should bring their COVID-19 vaccination card indicating receipt of the initial Pfizer vaccine.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge to all individuals, regardless of immigration or health insurance status.

Vaccinations will be administered on a first come, first serve basis until our capacity has been reached.  Depending on the number of individuals attending the clinic, there may be a wait, so we encourage you to bring food and drink with you.  Restrooms will be available if needed.

Those seeking the vaccination should be aware that it is not recommended for those who have had another vaccine within the previous 14 days.  In addition, individuals who have an active COVID-19 infection (under isolation) or recent exposure to an individual with COVID-19 should defer receiving the vaccination until recovered or removed from quarantine.
