Friends of Johnston County Park's 3rd Annual Countywide Clean-Up Event

This is a repeated message on behalf of the Friends of Johnston County Parks, our program's advocacy group.

"Help us celebrate Earth Day in Johnston County, NC! Let's work together to clear the litter across the county, in parks, open spaces, on trails, and on roadsides, on Saturday, April 22rd, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Businesses, churches, youth groups, neighborhoods, civic groups, families, and individuals across the county are invited to participate. We'd also love to hear from anyone who is willing to donate garbage bags, gloves, vests, and grabbers!

Details:

Our goal is to work with local parks and recreation departments and nonprofit organizations in towns across the county, as well as NCDOT as part of the Litter Sweep initiative.
Registration is required for a litter cleanup in public spaces.
Supplies will be provided at each location as available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own if they have them."
