Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson Vaccination Appointments and Walk-Ins at the Johnston County Health Department Thursday, April 29th 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Smithfield, NC – The Johnston County Health Department has scheduled a Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson clinic, Thursday, April 29th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or until supplies last at the Johnston County Public Health Department located at 517 N. Bright Leaf Blvd.  Both first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge to all individuals, regardless of immigration or health insurance status.

The Health Department will be administering Pfizer vaccine (ages 16 +) and Johnson & Johnson (ages 18 +) vaccine on Thursday, April 29th. Individuals requesting Pfizer who are under the age of 18 will need an adult present to receive the vaccine.  Patients will need a second dose of Pfizer 21 – 42 days after the first dose. Johnson & Johnson is a single dose vaccine and does not require a second dose.

Vaccinations will be administered on an appointment (takemyshot.nc.gov) or walk-in basis until capacity has been reached.  

Those seeking the vaccination should be aware that it is not recommended for those who have had another vaccine within the previous 14 days.  In addition, individuals who have an active COVID-19 infection (under isolation) or recent exposure to an individual with COVID-19 should defer receiving the vaccination until recovered or removed from quarantine.
