Thanksgiving Safety Tips (2021)
Thanksgiving Safety Tips
NEVER
leave cooking food unattended. Make sure that children are kept away from the stove and hot/cooking food and liquids.
Make sure that your food is
FULLY COOKED
before you eat. USDA recommends the internal temperature of turkey be 165 degrees F.
Leftovers that are not used after 3-4 days should be thrown away.
DO NOT
douse a grease fire with water. The best thing to do is cover the flaming pan with a lid and turn off the burner.
If you choose to drink, do so
RESPONSIBLY.
Practice good judgment, and if you plan on driving at all, it is best
NOT
to consume alcohol.
The number of heart attacks spikes during the holiday season. If you experience a medical emergency of any kind,
CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY.
