The mission of the Johnston County Public Utilities Department is to provide citizens of Johnston County efficient, affordable, and friendly services of:

• Water Supply
• Wastewater Collection and Treatment
• Reclaimed Water
• Stormwater Management

Johnston County Public Utilities doesn't offer curbside trash pickup service. Please contact private trash service companies in your area for service information.

Utilities Office Hours

The Johnston County Public Utilities Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, excluding county holidays.   

Landfill and Convenience Center Hours

Year-round and holiday hours for the Landfill and Convenience Centers can be found on the County holidays page and the Solid Waste site.
